Our Services

Thanks to the generosity of both local and international health practitioners and volunteers, all our services are offered at no cost to community members who are unable to pay based on an application process. Sliding scale services are also offered depending on income level and other life circumstances that impact one’s ability to pay for and access healthcare services.

The kinds of Care and Support we currently provide:

Integrative Health Sessions

Our integrative sessions serve as a space to talk with licensed and certified providers. If you’re interested in understanding your overall well-being, consult with our doctors, naturopaths, physical therapists, chiropractors, and more. Together, we explore holistic approaches to wellness, including food-based remedies, plant medicines, and lifestyle changes. Natural and allopathic remedies are offered when available, based on your individual needs.

Preventive Therapies

We offer hands-on, body-centered therapies to help ease tension, support movement, promote relaxation, and alleviate pain. These include chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage, craniosacral, and other holistic approaches. All sessions are tailored to what feels comfortable and appropriate for each person.

Mobile Clinics in Indigenous Territories

Each month, we travel to remote areas of Alta Talamanca to bring wellness services directly to Indigenous communities. These mobile visits include consults and educational workshops. We work in collaboration with local leaders to honor cultural traditions and ensure respectful, inclusive care.

Movement Classes

We offer yoga and movement classes for all levels and ages. These gentle sessions help improve strength, flexibility, balance, and mental clarity—while also creating space for connection, stress relief, and community-building.

Educational Workshops

We offer a variety of activities, ranging from informal round-table discussions to hands-on workshops, that support everyday wellness and personal growth. Topics are chosen based on community interest and have included women’s health, emotional well-being, breathing and relaxation techniques, parenting support, chronic illness prevention, the connection between stress and disease, mindful movement, cooking on a budget, and the use of local medicinal plants.

These sessions are designed to be culturally respectful, welcoming, and practical. We help participants to build their skills, strengthen community ties, and care for themselves and their families.

What’s Coming Soon!

We’re always growing and listening to the needs of our community. In the coming months, we’re excited to expand our offerings to meet an urgent need in Talamanca: mental and emotional health support. While we’ve already provided one-on-one mental health sessions with professionals, we’re now preparing to vastly expand this critical area of care. Access to mental health services in Talamanca is extremely limited, and community members have voiced a clear need for more consistent, culturally sensitive support.

Girls’ Support Circles

Regular gatherings for girls and young women, guided by a trusted local mental health provider. These safe, supportive spaces will focus on building emotional resilience, confidence, and connection during adolescence.

Ongoing Mental Health Sessions with a Local Psychologist

Community members will have regular access to one-on-one support with a Costa Rican psychologist. These sessions will focus on emotional well-being, family relationships, stress, trauma, and life transitions—free of charge for those without financial means.

We’re committed to creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and cared for, especially where mental wellness is treated as a vital part of community health.

Thank you for being part of our community!
